Ages 2 to 3
Tiny Toes
Music, movement and first ballet shapes through songs and stories. Grown-ups can join in while children settle.
Tuesdays, 4:15pm, 30 minutes
Small, gentle classes in Thornton Heath, London. Stay and watch, or drop off.
A first ballet class should feel like play. Ours are small and unhurried, led by a qualified ballet teacher with our early years team in the room.
Little ones learn best alongside children at the same stage. Not sure which fits? Ask us.

Ages 3 to 5
First ballet steps, posture and listening to music, with plenty of imagination. A gentle start towards graded ballet.
Thursdays, 4:15pm, 45 minutes
Many children start with a grown-up nearby and move to drop-off once they feel at home.
Watch from the side of the room. For our youngest dancers, a grown-up can join in for the first few weeks.
Our nursery team stay with the class from start to finish, alongside the ballet teacher. Children are signed in and signed out. Drop-off is for children aged 3 and over, with collection from the front entrance.
Miss Tiya, RAD Registered Teacher
Tiya trained in classical ballet from the age of four and has taught pre-school ballet for eight years. She believes little ones learn best when every class feels like a story, and that a curtsey at the end matters as much as the steps.
Every class also has a member of our nursery's early years team, who are used to helping a shy child join in.
Your first class is free. Paid termly through our booking page. Spring term starts Tuesday 5 January 2027.
Book a trial classNo. Classes are open to every child aged 2 to 5. They're held in our nursery building, but you don't need a nursery place.
Anything easy to move in for the trial: a leotard, or leggings and a T-shirt. Bare feet or soft ballet shoes (socks are slippery), hair tied back and a named water bottle.
That's fine and very common. Lots of children watch for a class or two before joining in. We never push.
Of course. Ballet builds balance, coordination and confidence for every child.
We can't refund missed classes, but you're welcome to make one up in the other class that term if there's space.
We ask parents not to take photos or videos during class, to protect every child in the room. At the end of term we share a few photos with families, and only with written consent from every parent.
Yes. There's space for buggies by the entrance, the room is step-free, and there's street parking nearby. Several bus routes stop on Whitehorse Lane.
Pick a class and a date, and come along. If it isn't the right fit, there's nothing more to pay.
